About Bobbi's Horse Camps

Classes at Bobbi's Horse Camp Academies are taught by professional trainers with years of experience. As a student at the camp, you will be placed into an appropriate group, advanced, intermediate, novice, or beginner, depending on your experience, confidence and ability. You will be taught on your own horse, usually training for 2 sessions a day split across morning and afternoon. You will work in small groups and, if you wish, our photographer can take some souvenir pictures of you.

You will be taught in an indoor or outdoor ménage, or can try cross-country terrain. The cross-country course provides great challenges with obstacles such as brooks, ditches and water complexes. If a rider is unsure about completing a task, there is absolutely no pressure to do so. You will work at your own pace.

Safety is a very important aspect at our camps. Riders must come fully equipped with protective clothing and helmets. Our trainers will constantly monitor you and your horse, ensuring that neither horse nor rider pushes themselves too far.

We have a varied crowd of all ages (16+) and abilities at Bobbi's Horse Camp Academies, mostly but not exclusively female, many of whom travel miles to attend and participate. Stabling is provided for all horses and some may be able to bring more than one horse if discussed previously with Bobbi.

Evenings

  • Day One

The first evening of camp is about getting to know Bobbi, her team, the facilities and the activities you will be participating in and to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings.

  • Day Two

After the first days training you may have a cross country or show jumping course walk which we hope will help you and give you some insight into your up and coming challenges.

  • Also

On occasion we will introduce you to some of the specialists we have visiting the camps. This may include a demo or a short presentation.

  • Food

Lovely home cooked evening meals are provided, so no worries about cooking!

  • Great Fun

The evenings are lively, fun and a great way to get to know your fellow campers. You can reflect on your day?s activities and experience and ponder the next day?s agenda whilst sipping a glass of wine!

  • It was brilliant! Now I'm knackered for all the best possible reasons!

  • What other venture could offer individuals the unique opportunity to work with the caliber of trainers that were available during last weekends camp. Both Jeremy Spring and John Thelwall will leave a positive lasting impression in my mind as I look forward to this 2008 competition season. Heather Chadwick 2008
